Bupa Great North Run 2011 · 18 September 2011 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hey you guys,

I've got a place in the 30th Great North Run, a 22k half marathon in the freezing north east in september... Not sure how great an idea this is seeing as I've only done 10k's before!! Anyway, getting a place is difficult although, luckily, I've been offered a place to run for a charity that supports the disease my grandad suffered with for 10 years. He had the really horrific form of dimentia, alzheimers.

The charity are asking that I raise a minimum of  £400 to secure my place and I've set my target at a more round fiqure of £500...

So I'm asking if you guys would donate just £5 each, thats not much right, and with 100 donations the target will be easily smashed! Anymore would be sweet as and much appreciated...

Much love
Oli

And to top it all I only have 10weeks from returning to England to get fit with my aim to do it in 2hours... Ouch!

PS If you give £500 I'll wear anything for the run... (thats allowed to be worn in public!, funny and supplied!) Plz email for dimensions...
