London Marathon 2019 · 28 April 2019 ·
Hi, thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
10 years ago I lost a close friend, Briana Jones to Meningitis; a deadly illness that can kill within hours. She was a beautiful, bubbly girl and her death was felt by many.
So with that in mind, on the 28th of April 2019 I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for The Meningitis Research Foundation, in memory of the beautiful Briana. I found myself applying after seeing my amazing mum run it last year and the next thing I know I’m plodding through Huddersfield attempting to become a runner. My previous running background was a ropey 3 mile ParkRun (I had to run into the bushes to throw up) so running a marathon is no easy feat.
I initially put my name down thinking (hoping) I wouldn’t get in, but my choice of charity was always an easy one. The Meningitis Research Foundation fund vital research and run lifesaving campaigns to raise awareness of the disease. Please please please help me to keep plodding through the miles by donating whatever you can to such a worthwhile cause so close to my heart.
Thank you 💞
