To John, I kept my promise! Olivia xx

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page. 

On Friday 21st August I shall be cutting my hair and donating approximately 12 - 15 inches of it to the Little Princess Trust - a charity that provides free, real hair wigs to children with cancer.  At the same time I am hoping to raise money for Oracle Cancer Trust in memory of my mother’s friend, John Wilkinson, who died on Christmas Day last year from a rare and aggressive face cancer. 

John was an inspirational man who made a huge impression on me when I met him - he was so kind and positive. Despite his own battle with this dreadful disease, he spent most of his illness trying to help others, which included writing a book called ‘Face Cancer’.  The book had three aims: to increase awareness, to raise money for different cancer charities and to support other people facing cancer.

When I told John that I wanted to raise money for one of the charities he supported, he suggested the Oracle Cancer Trust.  It was close to John’s heart as it is dedicated solely to funding research into head and neck cancer and is a charity that supported him through his illness, too.  

It would mean so much if you are able to make a donation to support this charity’s invaluable work and to remember a special man who impacted positively on so many people.
