The main purpose of AKPA is to help improve the quality of life for patients who are being treated for kidney disease at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and its satellite dialysis units. They provide financial and welfare support for kidney patients and campaign to improve their conditions.

Story

On Friday 18th January 2019, Oliver Broderick, a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many, passed away at the age of 46.

Ollie suffered with kidney failure since the age of 9 months and during his lifetime was given three kidney transplants at Addenbrookes Hospital. He also received dialysis there for many years whilst waiting for transplants.

In memory of Ollie, and to help others needing dialysis and waiting for transplants, we have created this page to raise funds for the AKPA, who provide much needed support to patients and their families.
