Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
~~~UPDATE~~~
I have now finished the run. 2 hours and 12 mins, which I am absolutely chuffed with from a personal point of view. I am still collecting money for the charity so please any donation will be really appreciated.
~~~UPDATE~~~
On Sunday 11th October I am running a half marathon and will be raising money for the "Ride High" Charity. Please sponsor me with whatever you can to help this worth while cause.
Many of you will know me as Olliebean from the dressage forums that I give help and advice on. The name Olliebean comes from a special horse (Waltz Othello), one that helped me a lot. It is poignant that I make this page today as Ollie's mum's sister would have had her birthday today, August 20th, had she not died in a tragic car crash with her father.
The point to this little story is that horses actually help us far more than we ever help them.
My wife Gill is the assistant editor for the Chiltern & Thames Rider magazine and through this she was asked to cover the opening of a Club House connected with the "Ride High" Charity. We went along and saw what a marvellous Charity this is and what wonderful work Rachel Medill and her team does. The use of horses to help children to come out of themselves, to flourish and to have a decent start to life. it is truly inspriational.
