Ollie is a gorgeous young dogue de Bordeaux who came to Dogsfriends in the summer for rehoming as his owners circumstances had changed. Sadly it soon became apparent that Ollie didn't have the energy or stamina of a dog his age. After numerous tests at the vets he was diagnosed with a heart problem that he would sadly never be cured of. Dogsfriends faced a dilemma - put Ollie to sleep or try to give him a comfortable, good quality life for as long as he had left. He was already in a foster home and very happy there so it was decided that they would do whatever they could. He was referred to highcroft vets for further scans and tests to determine the most suitable medication for him. He is now on a cocktail of drugs costing £400 a fortnight (due to his huge size), the tests cost £1500 so at the moment he has cost the charity over £3000. The lovely thing about Dogsfriends is that they will always do everything in their power to help any dog they can. They need your donations to help Ollie and other dogs in their care so please donate anything you can 🐶🐾
