Maggie’s Centres are warm and welcoming places built alongside NHS hospitals that provide the support that people with cancer and their family and friends need. www.maggiescentres.org

Story

It is 18 months since I lost my Mum to cancer and just over three years since I lost my Dad to the same awful disease. Yet everyday I feel nothing but gratitude and love for all those who helped me and my family navigate our way along that most treacherous of paths. It is now my turn to give something back.

Maggie's Centres are built to heal in every sense of the word, a safe haven for all. Medically and holistically, they provide a beautiful calming space for all those affected by cancer for however long they need it. I know from personal experience just how many people would be lost without the services they provide.

So, on September 16th I and a wonderful group of my friends and colleagues will be saying a huge thank you to Maggie's for all of the amazing work that they do and helping them access the vital resources that help them save lives.

On that evening we will be showing our solidarity with all those affected by cancer by coming together to walk one path, one route, over night through the streets of London. United against this heartbreakingly cruel disease. So join us, shout about us, tweet about us, come say hello, or please please please help us raise money and keep the fight against cancer alive. We would be ever so grateful for your support.

All my love,

Jo Torode
