Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I’ll be ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

In early 2001 my world fell apart when I was told my mum had breast cancer, thanks to early diagnosis and speedy medical intervention I am pleased to say she is to date in remission. Unfortunately that isn't the end of my story and in December 2012 my father was diagnosed with Prostate cancer, again the medical team have been amazing and he is also in remission.
Cancer casts a dark shadow over so many of our lives and in my own short years I have lost 2 grandparents and an aunt to bone cancer and brain tumours respectively, having raised funds for cancer research previously (that's 60k in 2008 nearly killed me!) this is my small way of getting back to raising much needed funds to help fight this terrible disease.

2.5 million people in the UK will be living with some form of cancer this year, so please dig deep and donate to this very worthy cause whatever you can.
