EMICS is a team of volunteer doctors who attend emergency incidents at the request of and in support of staff from the East Midlands Ambulance Service. EMICS doctors provide expert treatment and care at the scene, before the patient reaches hospital, dramatically increasing their chance of survival.

Story

Dr Leon Roberts a local doctor from Colsterworth volunteers for East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme ( EMICS ) All their equipment is supplied from donations, Dr Roberts has visited our office at Honey Pot Lane to explain to our first aiders the work they do around providing immediate care at the scene of emergencies before patients reach hospital, which dramatically increases the chance of survival.
