Story

Dear friends,

On Friday, 19th September, the valiant Stationers' Cycling Team will take off from Stationers' Hall at 5 am, join a great group of friends from the Connaught Club in Great Queen Street, and then pedal off across the Kent Downs to Dover, and from Calais to Ypres.

We will cycle wearing poppies from the Royal British Legion, remembering our war dead by raising funds for that charity and for the Wiltshire Barn Project.  The important work of the British Legion you may know; the Wiltshire Barn Project teaches wounded former members of the Forces traditional bookbinding techniques.  The Princess Royal recently came to Wiltshire to confer the Project's first City and Guilds qualification to Terry De'Ath.

After two days of cycling, we will reach Ypres in time to join waiting friends, and the Master of the Stationers' Company and his wife, to lay wreaths during Last Post.   We're very grateful for your support.

Donations to the Royal British Legion can be made here, and to the Wiltshire Barn Project, at http://www.bmycharity.com/CycleYpres.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
