Story

Hi All,

The Glendalough trail is a personal challenge to me but more importantly....

You might know I work for Retina International, and the FBI (hahaha) Fighting Blindness Ireland  are one of our members.

Fighting Blindness works so hard across the areas of medical research, counselling and patient advocacy, to help cure, support and empower those individuals and families affected by various visual impairments.

Charities supporting the visually impaired are often overlooked, as visual impairments are not an obvious disability, and do not bear the life or death impact, however patients and their families require support for the life long journey associated with sight loss ranging from mild visual disturbances to severe progressive vision loss, and help is needed in this area.

I'm doing the Glendalough Trail to support FB because I have worked with those tirelessly carrying out research supported by FB, I've engaged with patients who work alongside FB for support, working towards access to novel therapies to delay and prevent vision loss. Sight loss affects not just the individual but the families around them.

If you have a few euro you could spare please support this charitable event!!

Kind regards,

Orla
