Story
On May 12th I will be running the Leeds Half Marathon for Alzheimer's Research UK. Since running the Bath Half in 2014 and 2015 I have gained a few kegs and lost a considerable amount of hair as well as a couple of injuries but I am still hoping to get round in under 1hr45...
I am running for Alzheimer's as it is a disease really close to my family and I, and I want to raise awareness and money for this charity.
At £26 billion each year, dementia costs the UK economy more than cancer and heart disease combined, but over two thirds of the care for dementia patients is paid for by themselves or their family.
Any donation (small or large) would really make a difference and mean a lot to me.
I will be running alongside members of the University of Leeds Men's Cricket Club who are running for Orchid Cancer Trust, another great charity.
Thank you!
