Ounal's - James Bailey Memorial Kilimanjaro Trek

My husband Jamie’s life was cut short by cancer on 27th January 2019. He was 45.
I am climbing Kilimanjaro on the 1st Anniversary of his death, to make sure to ensure we keep funding that fight against cancer.
We spent much of our 20+ years together travelling around the world, but we didn’t get the chance to complete all of the trips we had dreamt of.
So in his honour, and to also show our 13th year old son, that from grief it is possible to find strength and hope, I want to complete this challenge for Macmillan Cancer Research.
Their centre at Kings College Hospital, London, provided Jamie with moments of calm during his years of treatment.
He fought and battled bravely for years. The challenge of this climb is my way of recognising his fight.
I also want to remember my mum, Kanchan’s, brave fight against cancer. She lost her fight in 2014, the year Jamie was diagnosed. So this is also in honour of her. ❤️
Cancer- that’s enough now. I’m coming to get you ✊🏼
I am self funding my own trip, so the money raised here will go to Macmillan.
