Fundraising for St Barnabas House
Story
What have we done previously to get to our amazing total:
Boxing Day Dip 2023! Just to keep us on our toes and the total topped up, we added this to our list of things for 40 things before we turn 40. So Me and my cousins Sam and Natasha decided to take part.
St Barnabas South Downs Trek on 26th March 2022 with my Lovely cousin Natasha Roberts. 26.2 miles covered in 1 very long hilly day!
In October 2018 I completed a 67km trek
in India through the foothills of the Himalayas. This was 5 days of walking 7-8hours
a day and camping With the help of all my amazing friends, family and
colleagues I smashed the target and raised just over £6000!
Since then I have completed a few sponsored challenges with family to keep the total topped up.
My Mum has worked so hard to help us reach the
first target, with selling items donated to her on eBay from friends &
family and the collection pot in her Post Office!
Our amazing friends and family continue
to use this page to donate for Birthdays and at Christmas instead of sending cards.
For those new to the page here is why we support St B’s:
On 20th July 2016 Ben was diagnosed with advanced Stage 4 Cancer.
2 days after this devastating news St Barnabas Hospice became home for me and Ben.
They provided Ben with the most amazing care whilst he fought bravely.
St Barnabas cared for us both as we tried to process everything and spend precious time together.
Ben sadly passed away on 14th August 2016, just 3 weeks after his diagnosis and a month before his 40th Birthday.
Thank you to everyone who has donated and continues to do so.
I have been so overwhelmed by how generous all of
our friends, family, colleagues and even friends of friends have been.
Your support has been amazing.
Ben was sadly the 4th member of our family to receive care at St Barnabas. This charity is very to close to all our hearts.
To Ben, My Gorgeous Boy.....I miss you and love
you beyond words. I will do all I can to give back for the precious time and care St Barnabas gave us together 💙
