Story

I don't think you could find another Glynis like ours. Not even If you shook the earth and turned it's pockets inside out, would such a rare gem appear.

We want to invite you to remember her through a great cause and by attending her service.

Sadly, mum passed away on 19th May, 2020. She was taken care of by many professional and caring people throughout her treatment for pancreatic cancer. Specialists, doctors, nurses, you name it, but she was also helped by Daft as Brush who provided a simple and vital service; they transport patients to and from the hospitals during treatment for cancer. The journeys are punctual, free, and made in comfortable colourful vehicles driven by cheerful volunteers who wait in the hospital for sickly patients to return.

My mum and our family were incredibly impressed by Daft as a Brush and their efforts, so we would like to ask people to leave a donation instead of flowers or other tributes.

A service will be held at West Road chapel, Newcastle NE5 2JL, at 2.45pm on Tuesday 2nd June. Due to distancing rules, chapel attendance is limited to 20 people who we will ask individually and privately to attend, but all others are welcome to pay their respects by waiting outside the chapel or by watching the online live stream feed https://www.obitus.com/ (login: Qajo3327 password: 800367).
