On 29th August 2012 our lifes changed forever, our beautiful little girl Kayla-Maree was taken away from us. She went to bed so happy at 6.30pm and Grant found her at 8.00pm, Grant tried everything so did the ambulance and hospital to try and get her back to life but nothing worked. :( We cuddled her for a while before being seperated to be interviewed by the police and for our house key to be taken off of us for a few days. The next few days were just a nightmare, didnt want to think it was true. How could my extremely healthy little girl be taken away from us at 10 1/2 months? Life seemed so pointless i just wanted to be with her! We waited for the post mortem to come back to hopefully give us a reason but it came back clear, nothing was found. They then had to go on and do a toxicology report which took 1 1/2-2 weeks to do, to see if they could find anything. But it came back clear to. Kaylas cause of death came back as 'Sudden and unexpected infant death' Nothing to say how it happened or anything, She fell asleep and just didnt ever wake up.

Please please help by donating so in the future some families dont have to go through this, they can find a reason for such innocent lifes to be taken away. Kayla didnt deserve this. We love her so so much and we will never ever forget the most amazing 10 1/2 months we had together.

We have gone on to have another little girl Fayth Ava Meiklejohn born 8th April 2013 and the support we are getting from the trust is amazing so we want to give back! We have an apnoea monitor from them to monitor Fayths breathing when she goes to bed so that if it changes it sounds an Alarm. These cost £650 and without the funding the trust gets we wouldnt have the monitor to give us reassurance.
