 I want to look back on this year as a celebration of my life and of their lives. I want to do something “good”. My best assets are my determination and energy which I am going to put into a very challenging 8 day cycle ride to raise money for the Genesis Research Foundation.

Genesis are the foremost researchers into miscarriage, pre-term birth, stillborn loss and
issues regarding healthy conception. I am sure that everyone, at some time in their life, has experienced or witnessed the suffering of parents wanting a
child and then something going wrong with the pregnancy or birth.

Did you know that 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage and nine babies
are stillborn every day in the UK?

Were you aware that there is one preterm birth every two seconds.

 These pre– term babies are often critically ill and suffer lifelong complications.

Research is needed to look at the events from conception and early pregnancy to birth. 

Money is needed to fund research to improve pregnancy rates for women who struggle to conceive and improve health outcomes for babies in
general.

It is the only charity of its kind to lie consistently at the heart of original leading-edge research investigating why and how things can go wrong with conception, pregnancy and birth; delivering real evidence-based results for medical treatments and outcomes of worldwide significance.

Having
already transformed the lives of many parents-to-be, they know that there is
the potential to achieve far more and an urgent need to do so.

Most
of us know of  someone who has  suffered the tragedy of stillbirth ,miscarriage , pre term birth, infertility – please help me to raise money for
this vital research.
