We pioneer life-saving cancer research to help us beat cancer

Story

Premier Foods has chosen to support Cancer Reasearch UK throughout the 2010 financial year.

9 members of Premier Foods Procurement Team have decided to support the fund raising for Cancer Research UK by taking part in the:

24 Peaks in 24 hours Challenge in the Lake District:

The challenge is to walk 24 peaks, each one over 2,400 feet, in 24 hours total walking time on 22nd and 23rd July 2010.

Some of the route follows well-defined ridges, but the height climbed (over 13,000 feet) and descended throughout the challenge is significant.

The walk includes 8 of the 10 highest mountains in England - including the highest, Scafell Pike - and others like Red Pike, Helvellyn and Great Gable.

This ultimate mountain challenge (31.5 miles) will test and develop our physical endurance, team work and determination.

The walking team includes:

Paul Corscaden - Mark Sait - Jonathan Rigg - Greg Orrell - Clare Higgins - Ruth Webster - Sarah Adams - Phil Ashcroft - Renzo Gherardi.
