Jane Goddard is raising money for Antibiotic Research UK

WAAW Tea Party · 18 November 2020

About Antibiotic Research UK Antibiotic Research UK was established in 2014 to tackle the global threat of drug-resistant infections. If the world does not act now, the number of deaths is predicted to rise to 10 million by 2050. Our vision is a world free from drug-resistant infections.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page .

Antibiotic resistant infections are the biggest threat to modern medicine, it is estimated that 6,000 people a year die in the UK from antibiotic resistant infections, but this figure could be as high as 12,000. If we don’t act now, then we will be creating an even bigger and more deadly problem for future generations. Vulnerable people will particularly be at risk and commonly treated infections such as ear, throat, tooth, chest, urinary tract, blood, and skin infections may become untreatable.

Your support for World Antimicrobial Awareness Week can help
future generations by funding research to find new antibiotic therapies,
educating the public and professionals about antibiotic resistance, and
providing information and support for people affected by antibiotic resistant infections.

We couldn’t do this without you!
