We found Billy (or Kiedis as we named him) abandoned on a Turkish beach during our holiday. He was very thin and weak, unable to stand due to sore, cracked paws and ligament damage in his back end. We took food to him three times a day and also to the vets where he was treated with antibiotics, anti inflammatory jabs, wormed, de-fleaed and had all his paws treated.

He thanked us by disappearing for three days! We were both really upset thinking something had happened to him but thankfully he reappeared on the beach but in a worse state than we originally found him. After food and water he found his paws again. With help from the locals and some lovely British people Happy Paws agreed to take Billy in to their care and off the street.

He is currently in kennels in Turkey where he is being nursed back to health (plus losing a couple of bits!) before going in to foster care for his quarantine period. After this we want to bring him to the UK to live a happy life here. We both fell in love with Kiedis/Billy as he is just adorable. So sweet natured and very placid despite just being abandoned like a piece of junk.

The total we hope to raise is for his care and all the necessary injections, neutering etc. All funds will go straight to Happy Paws Turkey who are a charity dedicated to supporting the rescue of abandoned Golden Retrievers in Turkey. They were kind enough to get him off the street and in to kennels rather than fend for himself on the streets.
