Dear all,

On 24 July 2010 it will be 25 years since my Mum died, on her 49th birthday, from the secondary effects of breast cancer. If she had had access to proper screening and the follow up procedures available today, perhaps she would've stood a better chance for survival.

For this reason and for the first time ever, I am finally getting off my backside to participate in the Playtex Moon Walk, which will take place in London on 15 May 2010. I will be part of a team of 12  - "Wiggies Wonder Walkers" - and our objective is to raise funds for breast cancer research, and ensure that women who are diagnosed today can benefit from more efficient care and follow up.
