Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

When our son George was diagnosed with a rare condition, Erythropoietic Protoporphyria (EPP) it was a scary time as we considered the impact on his life, but the BPA gave us enormous support and brought us in contact with people across the UK who suffer from the various forms of porphyria. We discovered how severely some people are affected by the condition.

Because it is quite rare there is very little funding available to help with medical research or advances in medicine so we would like to raise as much as possible to help the BPA in its efforts to support sufferers, raise awareness and hopefully eventually bring treatment which is available in other countries, to the UK.

We have created a strong team for the marathon and have been training hard. Thank you all for your incredible support.
