We fund research and raise awareness to create a world free from meningitis

Story

Hey there! Thanks for coming to my JustGiving page! I'm raising money for the Meningitis Research Foundation by trekking up Mount Kilimanjaro - the tallest free standing mountain in the world. It's all in aid of the amazing work that the MRF does to combat an atrocious disease that mainly affects young children and students. If it's left untreated it can be fatal, and even when it's noticed, it often requires limb amputation - which is such an unimaginably awful thing for any child to go through. That's why I want to raise as much money as I can to further the research, so one day we can have a world where Meningitis can be vaccinated against and better treated.

So I need to get some serious donations in to get me up that mountain! (And pretty sharpish, too) so to do this, I'll be doing as many events as I can do! I'll be doing a load of embarrassing, exciting, and entertaining things to get people to part with a little cash! So watch out on here, I may be doing something stupid enough to make you want to donate a little. Obviously I need a lot of support on this, so I appreciate every donation, idea, or help that anyone can spare to help me get there and kick a disgusting disease right in the teeth. Much love to anyone that can help me along the way.

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
