My Father in Law, Russell Cleverley successfully bid for a place for me in the London Marathon 2016 on April 24th. Most people I have spoken to have queried whether my Father in Law likes me! What's wrong with a bottle of wine for a present and is he running with me?!

Well, the wine would have been lovely. I am assured he does like me and does not have a younger version for Nick waiting in the wings and no he is not running. However, Russell is taking on the equally challenging task of raising £2000 for Fight For Sight http://www.fightforsight.org.uk/about-us/.

As most of you will know, I ran the New York Marathon in 2011, the Paris Marathon in 2015 so the opportunity to run London really is great.

I have started my training, although I have to say January is a pretty tough month to start and the miles ahead quite daunting.

With the amazing support I have of family and friends I will endeavour once more to put my best foot forward and run the 26.2 miles with as  spirit and smiles.

Russell and I would be so grateful for any support, however small, that you would be able to give to this wonderful charity.
