Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2023 · 4 June 2023 ·
This will be the third Kiltwalk that Sabina and I have taken part in for the New Arc. This is a charity that is close to our hearts and for which we get an immense amount of pleasure in helping to raise some funds as well as awareness of the great work that the New Arc does.
The New Arc (The North East Wildlife & Animal Rescue Centre) is the largest wildlife rescue centre in the North of Scotland. They are an independent Charity based just outside of Ellon, Aberdeenshire, and they take in large numbers of orphaned or injured wildlife every year from all over the North East of Scotland.
Since The New Arc was founded in 2006 they have rescued and rehabilitated over 16,000 animals and birds. They work closely with the British Wildlife Rehabilitation Council, DEFRA, and are a part of a national wildlife rehabilitation working group.
The New Arc operates a 24/7, 365 day per year service for wildlife emergencies, and is also available within opening times for non-emergencies, general wildlife advice and non-critical admissions.
Charities pay a small fee for our service. Learn more about fees
