Story
Starting on Friday the 30 of May, I’ll be commencing on one of my biggest ultra-triathlon challenges yet: A consecutive Triple-IRONMAN involving a 7.2Mile (11.5km) swim, 336Mile (538km) Bike followed by a 78Mile (125km) run. This combined with 3763m climbing on the bike and 1715m on the run this is the gruelling course of Enduroman
I'm doing this challenge to raise money for the CLEAR Unit at Oxford Brookes, a cause close to my heart as I have seen how effective the Unit has been in improving the lives of people with a range of neurological conditions including Parkinson's, Huntington's, MS, stroke and cerebral palsy to name a few. It also puts on regular sessions for children with movement disorders to help them to be physically active.
All money raised goes towards either new equipment in the Unit (money raised from a recent challenge helped to purchase a recumbent bike) and also supporting the everyday activities run by the Unit.
The challenge is going to be a struggle for me, but nothing compared to what some of the people using the CLEAR Unit have to face every day and that's what will spur me on. Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated.
On the day there will be a online tracker so that you can track my progress, Ill post this up nearer the time.
