Story

Hi, my name is Patrick Nicholas.

In 2019 my mum was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. This is a progressive neurodegenerative condition affecting balance, coordination, speech and swallowing. In May 2023, I will be running the Edinburgh marathon. In doing so, I hope to fundraise and raise as much awareness as possible in honour of my mum and the many others affected by this cruel disease. These donations will be used to provide support those with the condition and further the research into finding treatments and ultimately, a cure.

At the same time, my sisters Katy & Claire, my girlfriend Harriet, Katy’s fiancé Max and our family friend Sween will be running the Edinburgh Half-Marathon. They are also doing this for the PSP Association and will be using this fundraising page so that we can raise a collective amount for this amazing charity.

We want to give back to a charity who do so much to research this disease and care for all individuals living with PSP and their families/care givers.

Any donations are hugely appreciated. Many thanks. #PSPA
