Story

Hola! Thanks for taking a wee minute to have a look at my page!

This year I really wanted to do something to raise money for a charity and thought there was no better way to do this than running my wee socks off in the Edinburgh Half Marathon!

I am running for the Scottish Association for Mental Health, a charity which means a lot because of the extremely good work they do in raising awareness about mental illness in society. They support people who are unwell and help their families at hard times in their lifes.

As I have previously suffered from depression and trichotillomania I know all to well the detrimental effects that mental illness can have on your everyday life, your friends and your family- especially if it is not dealt with. Mental illness is still very much taboo in society, and can often prevent people from coming forward for help, and I want to help see this change for the better. Health problems don't always have to be physical to be there!

I would greatly appreciate any donations you could give to this cause and I will do my best to run my wee socks off!

Patsy xoxo
