We help people with a learning disability to live their lives as they choose.

Story

We thrive on a challenge and love to push the boundaries on what can be achieved despite having a disability.  Since meeting these fantastically fit sisters, we have completed a number of marathons and a midnight lake swim.  Although we have a lot of fun along the way, our main motivation is to raise money and awareness for very worthy causes.  

This year, the Patterson sisters will be pushing me in a manual wheelchair for 13 miles each to raise money for Mencap's Big Step Forward Appeal.  The appeal is the charity’s most ambitious local fundraising appeal to date and calls on the public to help raise the £1.7 million it needs to build, equip and run its new Children and Families’ Centre, which will provide children and young people with a learning disability with the right support and opportunities to flourish and achieve their potential.  To find out more about the appeal, watch this very inspiring video:
