Story
Myself and Neil have a friend that was diagnosed with cancer in December and have giving him just a few months to live. At just 42 years old Richard Milton is still in the prime years of his life and sadly it will be cut short.
So myself having qualified for the London marathon and Neil and I having already entered the Hastings half marathon, Richard, Neil and I thought thought it would be fitting to run for the St Michaels hospice who are at this moment taking fantastic care of him.
Unfortunately on Sunday 16th February 2014 Richard (Milts) Milton sadly passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
To us he was one of the most kind hearted people you could meet. Always smiling and never a bad word to say about anyone. Full of energy and a joy to be around.
On Richards wish list was to raise £10,000 for the hospice. Thankfully Jess (his niece) talked him down to £5000. Its a massive task but lets all get behind this and make Richard proud of us all.
Since 1987 they have cared for over12,500 people and with just 30% funded by the government they still need to make up up to £5million in grants, donations and fund raising.
Any amount that can be raised for this fantastic charity will be greatly appreciated.
