The Cumbria Way Ultra · 14 September 2019

TB Alert is the UK’s national tuberculosis charity: the only charity that focuses on TB both in the UK and overseas. This gives us a unique perspective in order to address issues around TB that are common both to low incidence countries like the UK and high incidence regions such as Africa and Asia.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Cumbria Way Ultra is a 73 mile trail ultramarathon which crosses the whole Lake District, including over 10,000 feet of ascent. See http://www.pureoutdoorsevents.co.uk/index.php/the-cumbria-way-ultra.

I plan to run it solo in under 24 hours in September this year (2019). I have previously run 58 miles in a race two years ago and that time felt I could have done more. I will have to build up again to running for several hours each weekend over the coming months, as well as fitting in shorter runs during the working week.

TB Alert is a UK based charity which works to tackle TB in the UK and the developing world. It supports people with TB and the people who care for them. More information here: https://www.tbalert.org/
