Story
Hi everyone! My name is Paul Ellis, I am a technology consultant in London. At the start of 2015 I am going to run across London, running the route of the London marathon. I am doing this to raise money for WaterAid, an important charity to me, having spent 3 months working in Sub-Saharan Africa where clean water is not easy to come by!
The plan is for me, Paul Ellis, and some of my techie friends to run the route together. As a twist to normal marathons, (and to get a quicker time thanks to less traffic), we will run the course at night. There will also be a theme for a truly unique feel! Though I proposed a 'Paul Ellis' theme, where everyone would be dressed as me, we realised this will be tough as Big Dave has a 44 inch waist. So I'm open to suggestions! The initial shortlist is ninjas, fire fighters and police officers, though I believe the latter is an arrest-able offence.
If anyone wants to get involved in the Paul Ellis London Run, do get in touch! I am looking for a group of about 10 to take part in total. That means 5 spots left!
We will be training weekly at Hyde Park on Friday lunch times. Remember to bring sweatbands and don't forget there is a shower in my office for afterwards! Tony will be bringing refreshments and Suzy is serving snacks afterwards.
I hope that the Paul Ellis London run will be a great start to 2015 - lets start raising some serious wonga!
