Right, so.......

Not content with completing the Brighton Marathon in 2021 for this amazing cause (feeling grossly underprepared, weighing far too much and even sacrificing my nipples) - I have somehow been talked into doing it again!

But I figured that people are less likely to sponsor me now that I've already done it once; they'll be like, "oh, you're doing another run - so what?'" (I'm pretty sure many people sponsored me before because they didn't really think I'd manage it.)

So, to give you lovely people more of an incentive to give Square Pegs Arts your money, I'm actually going to be aiming to complete a 100-mile challenge instead. In the lead up to Brighton, I'm going to run 3 x 10ks, 1 x 10 miler, 2 x Half Marathons and a 20 miler before finishing off with the full marathon. 

Just to add - I still hate running; I'm no better at it and I'm still well too heavy to be dashing about anywhere, but the charity is still doing amazing things and they still need money so I figured I could do my bit again. (Plus, I've been trying to convince other people to join the team and it's much easier to do that if I can say, "Come on, I'm running and If I'm doing it then you can too!")

I definitely need some extra motivation to complete this and your donations will provide that and also some extraordinary experiences for extraordinary young people.

Square Pegs Arts provides opportunities for vulnerable, socially isolated people with learning disabilities and autism to be involved in high quality Arts based groups, projects and performances. This allows people to be engaged in purposeful activity where they can build friendships and feel a real sense of belonging. They use drama, music and creative based methods to build confidence and self-esteem, develop social communication skills and other transferable skills so that everyone can achieve and maintain positive wellbeing and be their best self.
