Thomas's Fund provides Music Therapy in Northants for children (0-19) with life limiting illnesses or a disability, which, due to medical reasons, means they are too ill to attend school for extended periods. The Fund is dedicated to Thomas Smith who died, aged 10, from a life limiting condition.

Story

So here's the big one, 100 miles! I will take to the saddle on 29th July in aid of Thomas's Fund.

As many of you know this charity is very close to home, losing two inspirational sons at a very young age is major, me trying to ride 100 miles is minor in comparison. However donations to this wonderful charity make all the difference to those in need and brightens their day.

Thomas's Fund

Thomas's Fund was set up in 2007 following Tom's passing in 2004 aged just 10. His brother Harry sadly passed in 2010 aged 12. Harry was the junior ambassador having helped mum Lucy promote the fund having been so proud of his older brother.

Tom and Harry were unable to attend school all year round but thanks to their family (and my mum who worked closely with them when they were at school, to say she developed a soft spot would be an understatement!), their life was packed full of fun - a large part of which was obtained through music therapy.

The charity provides music therapy in Northamptonshire for children and
young people with life-limiting illnesses or a disability which, for medical
reason, means they are too ill to attend school for extended periods. These
children desperately need our support, and Thomas’s Fund needs to raise money
to pay for a music therapist to work across Northamptonshire.

The charity has been supported by Children in Need and has Earl Spencer as
the patron.

To those eager eyes - I wrote this last year when competing in the London to Brighton - Well here I am the following year!!!!...
'Be warned of this goes well the long term aim is to complete the Ride London
possibly next year!

Please dig deep, I don't ask for a lot from people but as always this is special, any donantions would be hugely appreciated, not only by me but by the many many children that benefit from these sessions.
