In the late 1970’s Charlie successfully completed the Mourne Walk twice. A group of his sons, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law and others decided to walk up Slieve Donard in his memory. Charlie would have celebrated his 77th birthday this month and had lived with Motor Neurone Disease for a number of years until his death in September 2018. He had received much support and assistance from the MNDA(NI) and we wanted to raise awareness and funds so they can continue their work for those living with the disease in Northern Ireland.
