At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On September 8th I will be racing in my first ever IRONMAN triathlon event, as I have reminded you all on more than one occasion.

I am racing the 3.8km swim, 180km bike ride & 42.195km run because I am a lunatic, like every other triathlete, and I want to fight the challenge of being the best that I can be.  As I do this I want to try and be useful and so I would like to raise as much money as I can for Alzheimer's Society.  Alzheimer's has had an impact, and continues to do so, on my family and far too many families everywhere. It's an awful diease and if I can repay what they have done for my family, and maybe help someone else, then that would be amazing.  If you can donate even 10 pence then you are a star. I would appreciate any help, and I know that all of the patients and families affected would do to.

Thank you in advance.
