Paul's Sue Ryder National 3 Peaks 2019 · 25 April 2019

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

National 3 Peaks Challenge

The challenge? To finish in just 24 hours! This involves climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales. A grueling 44km (27 miles) walk, together with an ascent of 3000m (9800 ft), and 460 miles of driving.

At 10:00 on 25 April 2019 the team will begin their challenge at Ben Nevis before travelling to Scafell Pike and finally Snowdon.

We are raising money towards the £3.9 million extension at Dee View Court, to build new specially adapted rooms and apartments, and give us the flexibility to care for a further 20 people.

As Scotland’s only purpose-built specialist neurological care centre, demand for a place at Sue Ryder's Dee View Court is high, and there is a waiting list of 15 people that never gets any shorter. With places rarely becoming available and demand continuing to grow across the country, we desperately need to expand.

It’s a big project, and one we cannot do alone. You can help us realise our vision, and give more people in your community the care and support they need and deserve.
