We Fight chest, heart & stroke illnesses to Improve the lives of people across NI

Story

Thank you for coming to my fundraising page.

Having applied to take part in the London Marathon each of the last 4 years. I have finally got lucky with the ballot and been accepted to take on the challenge to run through the streets of London in 2011.

This has provided me with the opportunity to raise money for what is a very important charity to me, a charity which both my Grandmothers worked very hard for when they were alive; The Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke foundation.

The work the Foundation does is so important in helping so many people, people like my Grandmothers who unfortunately both suffered strokes which caused their early departure from this world.

I kindly implore you to dig deep for a truly worthwhile cause

About the charity

NICHS is leading the fight against chest, heart and stroke illnesses in NI. We provide support for people affected, and work to prevent these illnesses by delivering health checks and health promotion programmes, funding research and campaigning for improved care, treatment and awareness.
