When a family has been told that there is no cure for their loved one's illness , Havens Hospices can help, making the journey as comfortable as possible. The charity focuses on individual needs of the children and adults they care for, "making every day count" for those with life limiting illnesses and their families. Havens Hospices do not charge a penny for their care and that is only possible because of your kindness and generosity in donations. Every penny really does count!!

Personally, I have been aware of the vital work at Havens Hospices for over 8 years, as I currently act as their lead consultant for Capita, providing health and safety support services to the charity. I have been extremely proud to support Havens Hospices in this capacity to ensure continued improvements in health and safety performance and management to ensure staff, volunteers, patients, family members, contractors and visitors remain safe and healthy. 

During my regular site visits to both Fair Havens and Little Havens, I have been emotionally touched by the compassion and dedication of the staff who provide practical, medical and emotional support to patients and their families. I am relishing the opportunity to be able give something back to Havens Hospices so that this essential work can endure and the staff can continue to make a real difference in the lives of the patients they support.

As a father myself, there is not a day that goes by when I don’t think about how privileged and blessed we are to have two healthy children. To be able to raise as much money as I physically can through my target pledge and fundraising ideas, would truly be an honour and an important opportunity for me personally to make a real difference in people’s lives, as the staff  at Havens Hospices do every single day.
