I'm going to be running 12 marathons in 12 months (plus the Lion's Bridge Half Marathon, The Great North Run & Manchester Half Marathon) to raise funds for The Society of Abandoned Animals. Every penny raised will help ensure there is somewhere to care for these abandoned animals.

I started running 3 years ago at the age of 52. Running has given me so much, and now I would like to use it to give something to this great cause. I will be starting off in July with my first ever Ultra Marathon and then aiming to run a marathon every month until next June, with a few half marathon thrown in along the way.

The Society For Abandoned Animals is a small local charity that relies on donations to keep going. Any donation, no matter how small will be gratefully received. Thank you.
