CALM is leading a movement against male suicide, currently the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK. 84 men in the UK take their own lives every week.

I know what it’s like to suffer and I found out, It’s OK not to be OK, please do not suffer in silence. We don’t have to ‘man up’, please talk if you’re suffering and seek the help you may need.

Remember, anytime you or your mates are feeling shit, the CALM helpline and webchat services is there.

CALM helpline is for men in the UK who are down or have hit a wall for any reason, who need to talk or find information and support. Offering

callers anonymous, confidential support and information via our free helpline and webchat service, open every day 5pm to midnight, 365 days a year. NATIONWIDE 0800 58 58 58. LONDON 0808 802 58 58

CALM aim to prevent suicide by providing help to those who need it; by working with others to improve understanding of suicide and what services and policies work best; and by fostering cultural change so that men can talk about issues and get help when things start to go wrong. CALM challenges cultural barriers that prevent men seeking help in a crisis, such as assumptions around men being the ‘strong and silent’ type. CALMs helpline and webchat services directly prevented 427 suicides in 2017.
