Virtual London Marathon 2020

Virtual 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon · 4 October 2020 ·
2020 has been a challenging year. Coronavirus has dominated but it is important to remember that we are also losing people too young and too soon to cancer.
I am dedicating my London marathon virtual run to my friend and colleague Jo Lloyd who sadly lost her battle with cancer. Please support this charity. Charities across the country have suffered because people can’t fundraise.
I trained for the Virgin London Marathon for the first time in the spring until it was cancelled. I continued to run as much as I could through lockdown for it to be cancelled again and turned in to a virtual event. Being virtual doesn’t mean I get to do the marathon ‘online’. I still have to run 26.2 miles and I’ll be doing that through the streets of St. Albans on the 4th October. Please consider supporting my chosen charity.

Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we’re taking it on. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, tough to research and tough to survive. For too long this disease has been sidelined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. We are supporting those affected by the disease, investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer.
