Story

I was finally diagnosed with the autoimmune disease Sjrogrens  in October 2019. Like many sufferers this disease impacts on every day life. Some days are worse  than others. It is a condition that can not be seen  and has no cure.  Treatments are given to slow the progress of the condition down and also make every day living  more comfortable.

Now that I have finally accepted Sjrogrens as my future, I intend to give the disease a run for its money! I still ride my horse daily, hacking and schooling and intend to carry on competing. I believe if I can keep fit and moving  I will last much longer!!

I am also extremely lucky to have a strong network of supportive family and friends, which helps  keep me mentally strong. Positivity must be a massive help with any illness.

I would normally charge £30 for each training session but would love this money to be donated, or more, to the B.S.S.A. for further research into this autoimmune disease.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to read this and, hopefully make a donation.

About the charity

Sjögren’s Syndrome is debilitating, distressing, under recognised and under treated. Glands that produce tears and salvia or secretions of the vagina, skin and bowel stop working, it causes muscle or joint pain, low mood and extreme fatigue. The BSSA supports sufferers and raises awareness.
