AMAZON JUNGLE SURVIVOR CHALLENGE · 18 May 2019

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity operates and funds three air ambulances and a fleet of critical care cars covering Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. This lifesaving service costs £13-14 million each year and is funded by donations only.

Story

In this ultimate survivor challenge, I will be trekking and canoeing up the Amazon river whilst raising much needed funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Keeping my wits about me I'll be testing my newly acquired survival skills as I enter the jungle, avoiding giant snakes, poisonous frogs, and caimans. This 4-day trek will test my strength, both physically and mentally, as I leave behind all my day-to-day luxuries and push through the vegetation in the world's largest tropical rainforest.
