Mid and North East Essex Mind's purpose is to offer hope and support for good mental health, so that no one feels alone. We are affiliated to the national Mind charity however we are financially independent. We provide mental health support services across Mid and North East Essex.

Story

Peter Brown known affectionately as “Browny” to his friends sadly lost his battle with depression in July 2018. He left behind his 11-year-old son.

In Peter’s memory and to raise funding and awareness about the importance of mental health support, we will be cycling 969 miles from the tip of Cornwall at Land’s End to the edge of Scotland at John O’Groats.

Our route is split across nine days covering an average of 108 miles per day and climbing around 15,000m. That is almost twice the height of Everest!!!

We are not athletes, so there is no doubt that this challenge will be difficult. However, the struggles we will face won’t compare to the debilitating reality of living with mental illness.

With your help, each mile we travel will raise vital funds to support those who need it.

Each hill we climb will help someone see through the darkness of mental illness and change their life.

Follow us on Instagram @Pedal4PB for updates on our training, route preparation and information about the great work Mid & North East Essex Mind do.

Thank you.
