Story

Penguins Against Cancer (PAC) is a registered charity [1159905] in its own right.

PAC was formed on 6th November 2013 to raise awareness of cancer, and make grants to support cancer research, cancer treatment and hospices.  Its founders were drawn from Guy's Hospital Penguins, the oldest team in the oldest rugby club in the world.  Now its members come from a wide range of ages, backgrounds and professions all uniting to fight cancer.  PAC has no start-up or running costs so all money raised goes directly to support the fight against cancer.

Almost 350,000 people are diagnosed with cancer each year in the UK, and over 160,000 die.  Statistics can be overwhelming and it’s difficult to comprehend the numbers. However, we all know someone who forms part of those statistics - a family member, a friend, a colleague or like one of our own team, someone fighting their own battle with the disease.  So please give generously and support Team Penguin (Alex, Charlie, Charlie, Greg, Katherine, Pat and Paul) in the fight against cancer.

In order to ensure that your full donations go to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Team Penguin will ensure that the 5 per cent of donations that Justgiving charges as administrative fees will be paid directly by us to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
