I am swimming a mile in ullswater on June 6 2021. I’m really nervous as although I swim loads in the pool and at Penrith swim club I haven’t ever swum that far in open water. It’s also really cold this year! 

I wanted to raise money for lazonby pool, it’s an amazing outdoor pool near me. I love going there swimming as well as playing water polo. The last year has been very difficult for all the outdoor pools so I felt I could try and help them. It’s a charity that’s main aim is to encourage and support children to swim safely.
