Bermondsey and Rotherhithe in Southwark have some areas which are amongst the 10% most deprived in the country. Financial hardship, disability or the fear of violence at home or on the streets can hold people back and prevent them from fulfilling their potential.

Since 1938, Bede has been working to support local people in creating better lives for themselves, their families and their communities. They believe in building relationships over the long-term, bringing people together of different backgrounds, skills and experiences to create new opportunities for those who have fewest.
