Five Peaks Challenge · 22 April 2014

Pendleside Hospice believes in nurturing and caring for those in our local community affected by advancing long term and life limiting illness, through to end of life care and bereavement, by providing a range of comprehensive and easily accessible services to support them on their journey.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Twelve months ago I started work in the Day Therapy Unit at Pendleside - a wonderful place, full of happiness and positive thinkers. I look forward to working there each Thursday. The Hospice is so reliant on voluntary donations, I thought I'd try to do my bit. I helped with two 3 Peaks Challenges in 2012. Afterwards, I wondered if I could cycle between the mountains, rather than travelling by car. When researching this I realised that I could visit the 5 highest peaks of these islands and set myself the challenge of doing it within about 2 weeks.

My schedule is:

Saturday 24th May          Snowdon & ferry to Dublin

Sunday 25th May            Depart Dublin

Wednesday 28th May     Carauntoohill

Sunday 1st June             Slieve Donard & ferry to Troon

Wednesday 4th June      Ben Nevis

Saturday 8th June           Scafell Pike (from Borrowdale)

Total distance: 1000 miles

Ascent: 17500 feet.

Please help me to reach my target of £1000 pound donation to this very worthy cause.
