St. James's Place Foundation Triathlon in aid of Hope and Homes for Children · 4 October 2009 ·

5.4 million children across the world are currently trapped in orphanages – even though 80% of them have family they could live with if they had the right support. Orphanages harm children, depriving them of love and exposing them to abuse. Your support helps us get children to back to family.

Story

Hi all,

On Sunday 4th October, I'm taking part in the St. James' Place Foundation Triathlon in St. Albans in aid of Hopes for Homes for Children.

Hope and Homes for Children’s mission is to give hope to the poorest children in the world – those who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable – by enabling them to grow up within the love of a family and the security of a home, so they can fulfil their potential.  They move children out of institutions into family-based care, help keep together families at risk of breakdown due to the pressures of poverty, disease or conflict, and work to prevent child abandonment.

I'm aiming to raise over £500 which will be used to transform the lives of vulnerable children and families across Central and Eastern Europe and Africa.

Please dig deep and donate. Also, if you are free on Sunday, do come down and cheer me on!

Cheers,

Peter : )
